SUMMARY:Skeleton Crewe Trio
DESCRIPTION: \nTHE SKELETON CREWE TRIO\nROB BARRACO\, BARRY SLESS\, and STEPHEN INGLIS \nDoors at 5pm…Show 6:30pm. Tickets are $25 in advance…$30 at the door (children 12 & under are free). Purchase tickets here. \nThe guest chef for this show is Fish with Cool Runnings Jamaican Food Truck. Visit BlueDragonTavern.com for menu options. \nThe worlds of Hawaiian slack key guitar\, psychedelic pedal steel\, and masterful keyboard work converge as three virtuosos of the jam band scene announce the formation of Skeleton Crewe Trio. Born from a serendipitous collaboration in early 2024\, this unique musical collective features Rob Barraco (Dark Star Orchestra\, Phil Lesh & Friends\, The Dead)\, Barry Sless (Bobby Weir and Wolf Bros\, David Nelson Band\, Phil Lesh and Friends)\, and Grammy- nominated Hawaiian slack key guitarist Stephen Inglis. The group’s formation traces back to January 2024\, when Sless and Inglis first joined forces for what was meant to be a one-off performance. The chemistry was immediate and undeniable. \nThe duo’s successful California shows caught the attention of keyboard virtuoso Rob Barraco\, who joined forces with Inglis during a Dark Star Orchestra show at the Hawaii Theatre in April 2024. The natural musical connection between all three players led to the formation of Skeleton Crewe Trio. \nThis groundbreaking collaboration brings together three distinct musical traditions: Inglis’s mastery of Hawaiian slack key guitar (he’s a recipient of the prestigious Ki Hōʻalu Legacy Award)\, Sless’s pioneering pedal steel work that has graced stages with Bob Weir and Phil Lesh\, and Barraco’s sophisticated keyboard artistry that earned him a place in The Dead’s lineup. An experience that preceded nearly two decades holding the keyboardist chameleon role within Dark Star Orchestra. \nEach performance\, Skeleton Crewe Trio promises to offer high level artistry hosting an intimate evening of original compositions (many co-written by Robert Hunter and Barraco)\, Grateful Dead interpretations\, and dynamic improvisations that span genres from traditionalHawaiian to psychedelic Americana. \n

Clinton Fearon recorded 15 albums under his own name\, since and he’s touring the world with this impressive repertoire\, accompanied by a band or in solo acoustic. He performed in major festivals in each continents\, and regularly in the United States (Sierra Nevada World Music Festival\, Reggae On The River\, National Folk Festival\, Festival International de Louisiane\, Houston International Festival\, Salmonstock\, Ithaca Reggae Festival\, etc.)\, Canada (Latin Caribbean Festival\, Victoria Ska Reggae Festival\, World Beat Festival\, etc.)\, Europe (WOMAD\, Rototom Sunsplash\, Garance Reggae Festival\, Printemps de Bourges\, Stimmen festival\, Celtic Connectionetc.)\, Brazil (Virada Cultural\, Republica Do Reggae\, World Music Festival\, Feira de Santana\, etc.)\, Africa (Kenya and Ivory Coast)\, and more countries occasionally (Peru\, Honduras\, New Caledonia\, Hong Kong\, etc.). \nEach song of Clinton Fearon is a strong message coming from the heart of a man who is dedicating his life to help a better world to come. With chiselled music and poetic lyrics\, he opens reggae to a wider audience who simply loves his beautiful songs. \n“ My music is roots reggae from the island of Jamaica. I grew up deep in the hills\, up in St. Catherine\, surrounded by nature\, beauty and hard work. Even as a child\, I knew I wanted to be a musician and began my career singing in church and at school\, and eventually built my own guitar! As a teenager\, my journeys took me to Kingston where I met many musicians and began writing and recording music. The Skatalites\, Motown artists and Jamaican musicians who came before me all influenced my music. I write from my heart. The world is full of inspirations… nature\, people\, politics\, love. I write about them all. My music is good for the soul – always with a message of hope and betterment for tomorrow. It’s good for dancing\, good for listening and I think it’s good for all.” \n—Clinton Fearon \nDoors 5pm…Show 7pm. Tickets are $35 in advance…$45 at the door (children 12 & under are free).
