DESCRIPTION: \nBachata singer-songwriter Esme (Elmer Abreu Suriel) fuses the music of his Dominican land with the colors of New York to create his own sound. Originally from Constanza\, Dominican Republic\, ESME immigrated to Queens\, New York at age 8. The multicultural atmosphere of his new home influenced ESME’s musical tastes and production. Spanish-language artists such as Julio Iglesias\, Ricardo Arjona\, Juan Gabriel\, and American pop stars Bruno Mars and The Weekend shaped ESME’s own music. He brings these influences to his first bachata album. ESME’s unique sound along with his edgier lyrics\, mark a new direction for modern bachata. \nESME is a multi-talented artist who knows the value of hard work. When he was young\, he worked in places as varied as a laundromat\, pizzeria\, and shoe store to help his single mother care for him and his siblings\, and pay for study time. \nAt the same time\, Esme took every opportunity to learn about the music industry. This helped him stay independent and tour around the world\, With over 60 concerts in 2019. ESME\, who has been writing songs since the fifth grade\, brings this same energy and work ethic to his music career. In 2021\, Esme started his own record label\, Los Elegido Music\, inc. which he is planning to use to help develop the new generation of bachata. The first album to be released by his record label will be called\, Sangre Nueva\, in which he intends to do the impossible\, uniting 16 Bachata artists in one album. Esme’s momentum has already led him to a strong social media presence. he has a stream count of more than 11 million on Spotify and more than 25 million views on YouTube. \nDoors at 5:30pm…Latin dance class at 6:30pm followed by performances and concert.
