DESCRIPTION: \nIn 1969\, The Allman Brothers released their debut album\, ‘The Allman Brothers Band’…that same year\, The Band released their 2nd album\, ‘The Band’\, to critical acclaim and commercial success. Both of these bands helped define the music of the late 60’s and early 70s. \n\nJoin Uncle Charlie at the Blue Dragon Tavern in Kawaihae\, HI (Big Island) on Sunday\, May 10 as they present The Band vs. The Allman Brothers – A Musical Showdown. Uncle Charlie will be performing songs from the extensive repertoire of both these iconic bands. Of course there will be plenty of psychedelic jams in true Uncle Charlie style! The band will also be performing a 2nd set of all Grateful Dead music. Featuring Steve Fundy (guitar)\, Warren Nelson (keys)\, Dave Ojeda (bass)\, and Tim Taylor (drums). \nDoors at 5pm…show 6:30pm.
