Rene Lancaster is a filmmaker and comedian based in Los Angeles, best known for creating the original comedy pilot Making Rent, which he wrote, directed, composed, and produced with a cast made entirely of stand-up comics.

Rene has performed at the La Jolla Comedy Store and performs regularly at the Hollywood Comedy Store. He has toured across the country, featuring for comedy heavyweights like Theo Von, Adam Ray, Fahim Anwar, and more. Whether he’s behind the camera, writing a score, or delivering punchlines on stage, Rene blends storytelling, rhythm, and sharp wit to create work that’s as thoughtful as it is entertaining.

Meet Maria Bruggere, the always blonde, never boring funny gal who’s been lighting up stages all over the country. Based in Los Angeles, Maria is proud to be in development at the World Famous Comedy Store and a regular performer at The Hollywood Improv. She also runs two monthly Comedy n’ Chill shows at the Hollywood Improv and Fanatic Salon Theater in Culver City.

Maria’s humor can be best described as sharp, confident, and quick-paced — turning ordinary situations into laugh-worthy material with tight timing and wit. No matter the subject, Maria’s fearless approach to getting a laugh wins audiences over every time.

In 2024, Maria recorded a set for Netflix is a Joke on Sirius XM and was an on-camera host for Regal Movies social accounts.

In 2021, she went viral on TikTok for putting a tape measure between her legs. Known to some as #tapemeasuregirl, Maria has amassed over 45 million views and has nearly 30k followers across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, and growing.
