Farzad Azad is a guitarist known for blending flamenco, jazz, and global musical influences into expressive live performances shaped by rhythm, improvisation, and storytelling. Born in Tehran, Iran, he grew up in a household closely connected to music and sound production. His father worked professionally in radio and recording, exposing Farzad to music, performance, and audio production from an early age and helping spark his lifelong passion for live music.

After leaving Iran, Farzad eventually made Hawaiʻi his home, where he has been part of the islands’ live music community for more than two decades. Now based in Lahaina, Maui, he is the co-owner of Java Jazz, a restaurant and music venue known for supporting purple heart recipients, local artists and live performance culture.

All proceeds will go directly towards the purchase of slippers and umbrellas for our community members at The Hilo Salvation Army shelter. This fundraiser is part of an HPA Senior Capstone Project.

Doors at 5pm…Show 6pm. Tickets are $20 in advance…$25 at the door (children 12 & under are free).
