The music is in their DNA. Composed around a family structure, from Gipsy Kings! Gipsy Nation is a gypsy and Latin music group from the South of France. They revisit in their own way Latin music and traditional gypsy music. Their universe, like their origin, is open, festive, and colorful…it resonates like an invitation to travel and dance. A mix between modernity and tradition…universal music to bridge cultures and generations.

This energy. This emotion … traditional gypsy and flamenco music remain their inking point…each group member brings his vision and his sensitivity, which probably explains the universal side of their compositions: Gipsy flamenco, pop, rock, bluesy.

Gipsy Nation A La Gipsy Kings is lead by Gyorgy Lakatos. Born in Budapest, Hungary, he grew up surrounded by talent. Rooted in Hungarian gypsy music through his grandfather, father, and uncle all from the Lakatos dynasty, internationally known as famous violinist virtuosos, and musicians who have contributed to the preservation of gypsy music and traditions. Lakatos is a world-renowned guitarist who re-defines the art of guitar playing in every one of his concerts. He is an innovator, a one of kind performer with extraordinary talent, with charisma and contagious energy. He is a songwriter, performer and a “Gypsy Heart” romancing any audience with his suave approach to making the guitar sing like an angel. He has traveled throughout the world entertaining many audiences…His agile hands caress the strings of the guitar in a manner never before seen, performing as if it was a part of his body. He redefines music with his supernatural talent. Gyorgy’s family members are all musicians, most known world wide, and he carries a tradition passed down through generations. When asked about his music he has only one thing to say. “It’s the air that I breathe, without it, I can’t exist.” He is simply an amazing Artist.

“World Music” is often a meaningless catch-all phrase, a marketing shortcut, but as one of the acts that first helped define the phrase, Gipsy Nation A LA Gipsy Kings will play the music that really does cross all borders. From the beginning all the way through SAVOR FLAMENCO, their sound has reflected the constant travel and diverse influences of the gypsy heritage. Gipsy Nation A LA Gipsy Kings will play everything from Gipsy Kings from their 1987 debut album, songs spanning from “Rumba Gitano” and “Bamboleo” and every hit in the Gipsy Kings Catalog.

There will be two shows…at 6pm and 8:30pm. A limited number of VIP tickets are available and include reserved table/seating, one glass of beer/wine /or our chosen specialty cocktail or mocktail, meet & greet w/ the Act, plus CD after the show.
